Cuts-N-Stuff Salon started it’s first location inside the home of Tracey Napotnik in Tannerville Pennsylvania.
Tracey grew up in Ebensburg PA and went to Admiral Peary Votech where she studied Cosmetology.

Napotnik (Mulvehill – maiden name) started her first job in the beauty industry inside the Richland Mall, in Johnstown PA at Chic Wig. “ I had a lot of fun having different hair throughout the week”.

Her first salon where she worked on clients was in Ebensburg where she learned about team work, friendship, and skills.

Napotnik eventually wanted to buy a home and found one which just so happened to have a small salon in it. This is where Cuts-N-Stuff Salon was born. After 2 years Tracey wanted to invest in real estate buy purchasing rental properties. She found a building with 2 apartments in it and guess what – there was a slightly bigger salon in the front of the building. The building was located on Fairfield Ave. in Johnstown Pa.

This is where she started to hire employees (which now she calls team members). Cuts-N-Stuff had been there a total of 12 years before the state came in and was doing a road project. With intimate domain Tracey was forced to leave.
Before that happened though Cuts-N-Stuff branched out to have a location in Nanty Glo and Richland.

Once Tracey decided to get married and have children running more then one location was no longer her goals. Her love for her family took over, so she decided to only have one location which was the main location that stayed in Johnstown.

After the state took over Tracey decided to take Cuts-N-Stuff part time in her newly married home in New Florence Pa. After a few years at home with kids in the mix in a small home salon Napotink new it was time to get back at it and reopen with a team again. She moved Cuts-N-Stuff to a family owned building in New Florence which was open for 2 years then covid came. Due to the health of her children she decided to take a leave from working behind the chair and home school her kids. Being more at home she started a new business still in the beauty industry. Salontraining.com is a directory which focuses on on-going education for professional’s in the beauty industry.  Even though she truly loves it she was still missing having a salon.

“It’s so hard when you feel like your 2 people. One, the women who wants to work long hours and truly enjoys it and the other that doesn’t want to blink so I can enjoy my kids while they are kids.”

Tracey was asked by one of her businesses coaches why she wanted to be a salon owner. “What do you like about being an owner, what do you not?”

Tracey replied: “I don’t enjoy making orders, schedules, quarterly taxes lol etc “. “What I like is the people. The clients who become like family, the team who enjoys working and having fun together. What I really love the most are: seeing a stylist grow their careers, having clients come in and feel listened to while enjoying their time in the salon. Having clients enjoy a few min to relax while getting a shampoo is important to me. That’s why Cuts-N-Stuff always puts in a separate shampoo area.

Tracey had always wanted to bring Cuts-N-Stuff to Ebensburg PA and the time just wasn’t ever right till 2024.  Cuts-N- Stuff is now located at 1104 West High Street in the Kimball’s Plaza. The main focus for the salon is to have clients enjoy themselves and never feel like a number. Cuts-N-Stuff  is over 4,0000 sq ft featuring a color bar area where clients can see their color mixed in front of them to be part of the process. If you are a new client to the salon a Cuts-N-Stuff team member will sit down with you and do an extra bonus consultation with you, at no charge, so that we begin to understand more about the things you like and do not like.  What’s a team without a great manager? We are thrilled to tell you a bit about the manager at Cuts-N-Stuff. Having assistant managers in the past locations was an important part of Cuts-N-Stuff. This time though Cuts-N-Stuff was ready for a full time manager. When Tracey read that Heather Zunich was going to apply for the position she was thrilled. Heather was Tracey’s first salon manager and mentor. Heather helped Tracey grow when she first started . “Heather always believed in me and I remembered all the cards of encouragement through my early years, she believed in me before I believed in myself.” After reading her application and talking with her I knew she was the right person for the head position.  She knows how to encourage others, lead a strong team, and is an incredible kind person, and need to mention – very skilled at her craft! The salon is lucky and proud to have her.

Cuts-N-Stuff welcomes you to our salon. Appointments are suggested. Walk-ins are also welcome based on availability. Feel free to use our same day call ahead service. Call (814)472-HAIR (4247)
